The Canadian Military
Engineers Museum Facilities
The Canadian Military Engineers Museum first opened at
CFB Chilliwack on 11 May 1957. The Museum moved to its present site,
within the Canadian Forces School of Military which is located within
the Mitchell Building at CFB Gagetown in Oromocto, New Brunswick, and
officially re-opened on 1 July 1998.

Hours of Operation
The museum is normally open from 0800-1600
hours Monday to Friday or by appointment.
Weekend visits can be scheduled.
Fees
Admission is free, but a donation towards our museum would be greatly
appreciated. Tax receipts will provided upon request.

Directions to
the Museum
From Fredericton
- On TCH 2 East, drive approximately 18 km
to ext 303 (Oromocto).
- Turn right and follow Miramichi Rd 0.5 km.
- At the second traffic circle, turn right on to Restigouche Rd for
1 km.
- At the intersection of Broad and Restigouche turn left and drive
1 km to Base Gagetown Main gate
From St John
- On highway 7 take the TCH 2 West, drive
approximately 92 km to ext 303 (Oromocto).
- Turn right and follow Miramichi
Rd 0.5 km.
- At the second traffic circle, turn right on to Restigouche
Rd for 1
km.
- At the intersection of Broad and Restigouche turn
left and drive 1 km to Base
Gagetown Main gate.
From Moncton
- On highway TCH 2 West, drive approximately 172
km to exit 303 (Oromocto).
- Turn right and follow Miramichi Rd 0.5 km.
- At the second traffic circle, turn right on to Restigouche Rd for
1 km.
- At the intersection of Broad and Restigouche turn left and drive
1 km to Base Gagetown Main gate

Parking and Amenities Located
within the state of the art Canadian Forces School of Military Engineering
(Mitchell Building J10 Rm D215) at CFB Gagetown, Oromocto NB,
there is easy access to ample
parking, washroom, vending machine, canteen, and full handicap facilities.
